Forever Madness!
Finally I was able to drop by Forever21 at SM Megamall. They have a huge place out there and just like Forever21 at City Center Dubai,it is full of stuff that ladies will surely love to have and they'd die for it. I am fond of leggings, no let me tell you the reality..it is better.I must admit that I wear leggings most often these days because I cannot wear most of my jeans now. I guess they've grown too tight for me so I need to wait till my next big salary to come before I can purchase another pair of that Levi's Jeans. So right now I'll resort to wearing leggings most of the time since they are more affordable than a pair of jeans. I got 2 leggings from Forever21 just recently. A purple one and a gray one. So you can find at least 8 pairs of leggings on my closet now.

Beat The Heat, Go To The Beach
Summer 2011 is officially here. Almost unbearable heat irritates your mood, sweat is in every corner of your body especially the underarms, back and face area. Your day is filled with cravings for cold drinks, ice creams and ice-filled sodas. What a great way to beat the heat this summer than to have a plunge on the
beach with your swimsuits, cover ups, visors and sun block lotions.
And what a great way to have a stroll along the beach with V-nyCe summer thongs such as these

My Goal- Get Rid Of Stubborn Belly Fats
Being fashionable is not just wearing those fabulous cloths and accessories but it should also include maintenance of proper body built. One of the most common worries of women today especially those in their mid thirties and early 40s are the stubborn belly fats. If you have belly fats it is difficult to wear those tight fitting blouses that can show off your good figure. Belly fat can be embarrassing and it is also damaging to your health. Various research show that people with belly fats are at a risk of strokes, diabetes and heart attacks. Belly fats can also aggregate back problems.
Listed below are information that I gathered while researching for the best remedy to get rid of my belly fats. Yes, I too have those stubborn, unwanted belly fats.
1. Know how much you currently eat. Over eating could lead to obesity so watch out on how much food you give to your stomach. Don't eat like it's your last day on earth.
2. Lower your intake of calories. Lowering calories does not mean reducing your meals but choosing the right food that are low in calories. Chicken breast or tuna is lesser in calories compared to red meat. Use mustard instead of mayonnaise for your salads and bread. Choose fresh fruits over processed sweets for a dessert.
3. Walking or jogging can reduce belly fats. Use the stairs instead of elevators when going up to your office. Walking instead of driving your car for that short distance grocery routine can also help you get rid of those belly fats. Go out for an afternoon jog instead of going for a movie and munching on a large order of popcorn. Walking and jogging can burn up calories.
4. Do some abdominal exercises like crunches and sit ups. Don’t just sit on your couch watching your favorite TV show. You better get moving and moving and moving.
I just bought a DVD for belly dancing tutorials. I wish to start using that DVD very soon. This is also a sure way to lose those stubborn belly fats.

Prevention Over Cure
Prevention is always better than cure. Perhaps you came across this sentence several times already whether from fashion and wellness magazines or health and beauty tips articles. And I just hope this sentence can instill a point in your life especially with regards to your health and wellness issues.
Here's an excerpt from my own article which was also published at http://snipsly.com/2011/03/02/how-to-avoid-getting-sick/
Consider the following tips to avoid getting sick:
Eat healthy and watch out on what you eat. Include lots of fruits and vegetables to your diet. Balanced diet is a sure way to keep your body healthy. Always bear in mind that “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Green and leafy vegetables are also recommended for a healthy and balanced diet. Eating healthy is no doubt good for you. It reduces the risk for disease, improves the functionality of your immune system and yes healthy eating habits can help you feel and look younger. If you maintain a good eating habit and a healthy living you don't need to spend thousands of bucks undergoing face and skin surgeries.
Drink plenty of water. This is a very old adage but very true and a helpful one. It is recommended to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water daily or drink more if you engage in an intense physical activity. Lack of water or dehydration is the cause of many disorders like angina or heart pain, arthritis or rheumatoid joint pain and Asthma or difficulty in breathing.
Relax and have enough sleep. Learn to be cool and give yourself time to relax. Stress and fatigue trigger sickness. An 8 hours sleep daily assures you of a better health. Treat body for a massage and spa every once and while. Your body needs some pampering too.
Engage into physical fitness regime or exercise daily. Walking, running, jogging, these are forms of exercises that keep you physically fit. Doing any of these for at least 15 to 20 minutes daily can make a huge difference in your health.
Have a regular check up. Even if you are not sick it is better to have a visit to your doctor every once in a while. Make it a point to at least have a general check up once every six months to assess your body condition. Like a car your body needs some overhaul sometimes so don’t forget to include in your to-do-list a visit to your family doctor.
Keep your environment clean and be sure to have a breath of fresh air. Pollution causes some sickness so stay away from pollution as much as possible.
Stay away from people who are already sick. To prevent contracting sickness from other people, keep distance from them. If this cannot be avoided, be sure you take necessary precautions when handling sick people.
Be spiritually healthy too. Lead a prayerful life and learn to appreciate the beauty of life. In this way you will learn more how to love yourself and take care of your health.

Work, Earn and Have Fun
Have you been employed before and are you still working? How many companies have you joined so far? And what is the longest period you worked in one company? I've worked with more than five companies and the longest period I spent in a company is 7 years. The shortest was 6 months. Looking back, I was wondering what went wrong with every company that I left or resigned. I'm just proud to say none of these companies really fired me. The most common reason why I left each and every company I joined was boredom. I got bored with my first job as a Human Resource Officer, having to screen and interview applicants almost everyday of my existence with that company. From being HR Officer I jumped to being a cashier and I enjoyed this job more than the HR one. I did this job for 7 years but then again boredom struck and I just found myself as an OFW in Dubai, UAE. My jobs in UAE are mostly in sales and marketing and thankfully these jobs really boost my self-confidence. But at the end of the day it was boredom again that I need to fight back. When boredom strikes nothing can stop me from moving out.
I guess the bottom line for all the moving in and moving out from one company to another is the love for your work. If you love and enjoy what you are doing you will stick to it. People have various reasons why they work and obviously the most common reason is to earn for a living especially overseas workers. Perhaps on my later blogs I can share some of my escapades as an overseas worker. My ups and downs in the land of the Arabs especially the physical torture I went through. Thank God I'm finally out of that dilemma and enjoying life in my own beloved country.
Here's an aerial view to compare what you can see when you are on top of a Dubai mountain and on top of a Philippine mountain.Dubai is a desert city. Summer heat goes up till 45 degrees celcius and winter comes down to 10 degrees but summer is longer than winter. Winter lasts for only three months and the rest of the months are covered with sandstorms and summer heat. What I loved about Dubai was their shopping centers with very affordable prices especially during Dubai Shopping Festival(DSF). DSF is a month-long shopping activity usually held on January.
Some of my stuff were bought during Dubai Shopping Festival like pashminas, scarf ,a pair of jeans and a pink cap.

I Love Bloglovin!
I just joined Bloglovin.com and found out a lot of interesting blogs about fashion. It's a site for absolutely everything not only fashion bloggers but for every writer who can write about anything under the sun.
Forever21
Everyone has his or her own favorite. May it be a bag, a dress, a shoes or even socks. For me, I love Forever21. This shop became my favorite back when I was still in Dubai. My casual wears are mostly from Forever21 and I have this pink tops from Forever21 that I wear a lot. because it's one of the best there is in my closet. I got so excited when I read the news that Forever21 is finally in the Philippines.
I visited Forever21 website and got the news that native designs are "in" these days. Have a look at the natives they've got around Forever21 shops.(Photos courtesy of Forever21 and I do not claim any rights for this photo)
Got my own share of native fashion too and actually my house is full of native designs mostly made of bamboo. They are not only a symbol of my being a Filipino but they truly are adorable in the eyes. This is not the right time to share you how my humble abode look like but I can share some of my native accessories found in my closet like my native bag, tops, bangles, earrings, necklace and shoes made of abacca.

These Are My Favorites
I want to share a secret which I felt so embarrassing to admit because I thought this was some kind of abnormality. But when I met someone with a worst case as mine, I think I can share this little secret now. So here is my secret: I can't live without "socks". Yes I spelled it right "SOCKS". I can't sleep properly without a pair of sock on my feet, I wear socks even when I'm inside my house and I make sure that I have extra pair of socks in my bag whenever I go out especially if I am going for a movie because I will never enjoy the movie without putting on my socks while seated inside the cinema. So that's it, my secret is revealed. If you still cannot make out what's the best gift for me, try buying a pair of sock for me, they will be greatly appreciated.
I love anything that looks good and anything that really makes me feel good. Here are two things you can find from my closet that I enjoy using. They are not designer items but they look so cool and besides these two are Valentine gifts that's why I consider them very special. A long plain black tops and a simple black leggings will perfectly match with the red flat shoes and red/cream bag.I am slightly "chabita" or chubby so I use black blouses most of the time. Black is believed to have that magical power to make you look slimmer.

Introducing V-nyCe ShoeShop
V-nyCe ShoeShop is an online shop for trendy and stylish flat shoes. Though my height is roughly around 5 feet 1inch or 5feet 2inches, (come on I just look like a petite 4feet 11inches but I am more than 5 feet tall) I love wearing flat shoes because they are so comfortable on my feet and besides it's already the era where flat shoes is the fashion trend. I prefer pairing them with leggings or skinny jeans. Let me share you a fashion secret- if you want to achieve a long legged look try wearing a skinny jeans or black leggings.
What's in the name "V-nyCe"? Well, My name is Cynthia and my friends call me Cyn. Someone by the name of Vincent captured my heart and we became "one" last May of 2009 . So when V and Cyn became one, everything around seemed so nice and awesome that's how V-nyCe was born. Are you confused? Well, take that V from Vincent and invert Cyn plus E to sound as "nice" equals V-nyCe ShoeShop. Still confused? Never mind, just as long as you can pronounce the name of our online shop properly I will be happy with that.
